Basic Binding

A basic binding involves attaching a fabric strip to the back of the quilt, folding it over to the front, and securing it with a neat, straight machine stitch. This clean, durable finish is priced at $0.20 per linear inch.
Traditional Hand Sewn Binding

This traditional binding method is sewn to the front of the quilt, then folded over to the back and carefully hand-stitched in place for a clean, nearly invisible finish.
It offers a timeless, elegant look and is available for $0.30 per linear inch.
Variety of binding techniques

This photo showcases a variety of binding techniques, including machine-sewn, hand-sewn bias binding, small flange machine binding, and 1/8" flange machine binding. It’s a helpful visual reference for comparing styles and finishes.
Flanged Binding

A flanged binding features two contrasting fabric strips sewn together lengthwise, then folded in half. Once attached to the back of the quilt and pressed to the front, it creates a striking two-tone effect. A clean straight stitch is sewn right along the seam between the two colors for a polished finish. The amount of each color that shows depends on the strip widths you choose.
This elegant upgrade is available for $0.30 per linear inch.
Machine-Attached Binding
(Hand Finish by You)

With this option, the binding is sewn to the front of the quilt and pressed to the back—ready for you to complete the final hand-stitching yourself.
It’s a great choice if you enjoy hand-finishing or want to save on cost.
Available for $0.10 per linear inch.
